Director, Field Medical Affairs (Territory: Western US)

Responsibilities:
- Regional hiring, deployment, and leadership of hematology-focused Associate Directors – Field Medical (MSLs).
- Supervise team member development and evaluate performance; provide direct-line leadership (hiring, goal setting, performance evaluation, field visits, training, mentoring).
- Provide oversight of field activities in accordance with regulatory and healthcare guidelines.
- Execute initiatives and permissible field activities; ensure team field activity level and field metrics.
- Collaborate internally to align goals and team value proposition.
- Develop field strategies for healthcare professionals.
- Support development of educational materials/evidence communication tools; champion regulatory/legal/healthcare compliance approvals.
- Implement compliant field collaborative strategies with other customer-facing teams (e.g., sales).
- Identify research gaps and create opportunities by collaborating with potential/existing investigators.
- Support clinical data through abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscript development.
- Engage healthcare professionals; attend medical conferences to collect and report medical insights.
- Develop strategic plans for hematology scientific meetings and congresses.
- Collaborate with clinical/study staff to implement strategies supporting hematology development plans.
- Develop strategies for maintaining hematology expert/investigator targets and action plans.
- Work with Medical Information to develop/review materials for responses to scientific inquiries.
- Maintain company policies/principles and financial controls with integrity.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced medical and/or scientific degree required (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, DVM).
- 10+ years Field Medical Affairs experience.
- Oncology and/or hematology experience required (lymphoma or multiple myeloma preferred).
- 2+ years leading a team.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Veeva.
- Residency in the Western US required.
