Responsibilities:
- Conduct health economics and outcomes research as part of a cross-functional matrix team (internal-facing) and lead medical interface with key access customers (field-facing).
- Collaborate on development and implementation of US HEOR strategy, plans, and research.
- Partner with home office medical teams to develop, interpret, and disseminate research assessing the medical value of BMS assets; execute all phases of the research process.
- Direct research strategy using payer insights to answer marketplace questions in accordance with company policies.
- Lead HEOR for assigned therapeutic areas.
- Focus field activities on regional managed care accounts and integrated delivery networks to support patient access, medical policy, coverage, and reimbursement.
- Build sustainable customer relationships and discuss scientific, health economic, epidemiology, and quality-of-life information.
- Coordinate with Account Executives, MSLs, and home office medical matrix teams; lead initiatives impacting the broader field HEOR organization.
Qualifications & required skills:
- PhD/PharmD/MD (or MS in health economics/outcomes with appropriate clinical background).
- 5+ years in pharma/managed care/consulting focused on market access (public/private payers) with HEOR experience across all research phases.
- Demonstrated HEOR expertise (include publication list).
- Ability to understand/interpret US healthcare marketplace and comparative effectiveness research; build customer relationships; strong problem-solving and communications; travel required.
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; required to meet “Qualified Driver” requirements (21+; valid driver’s license in good standing; acceptable driving risk level).
