Responsibilities:
- Conduct health economics and outcomes research as part of cross-functional matrix team (internal-facing) and lead medical interface with key access customers (field-facing).
- Collaborate on development/implementation of US HEOR strategy, plans, and research.
- Partner with home office medical teams to develop, interpret, and disseminate data assessing medical value; execute all phases of the research process.
- Direct research strategy so BMS answers key healthcare marketplace questions using direct payer insights (per Company policies).
- Lead HEOR for therapeutic areas.
- Focus field activities on regional managed care accounts and integrated delivery networks to support patient access, medical policy, coverage, and reimbursement.
- Develop sustainable customer relationships; discuss scientific, health economic, epidemiology, and quality-of-life information.
- Work with Account Executives, MSLs, and home office medical matrix teams; lead initiatives impacting HEOR teams.
Qualifications/Skills:
- PhD/PharmD/MD (health services research, health economics, public health, or related); Masters considered if specific to health economics/outcomes research with clinical background and experience.
- 5+ years pharma/managed care/consulting with primary Market Access focus and experience conducting HEOR in all research stages.
- Demonstrated HEOR expertise (include publication list).
- Ability to interpret/evaluate US healthcare marketplace and comparative effectiveness research.
- Proven customer relationship building; strong problem-solving and communications.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; employment contingent on meeting Qualified Driver requirements (≥21, valid license, acceptable driving risk).
