Director Field Effectiveness and Capability Enablement (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Partner with GTMC, business units, Digital, Commercial Operations, and People & Culture to align on future field capabilities and challenge current ways of working.
- Identify emerging opportunities and co-create AI-enabled, data-driven solutions to improve field effectiveness and commercial execution.
- Bring industry trends/competitive intelligence and drive cultural transformation toward experimentation, continuous learning, and next-gen tools.
- Lead AI enablement: pilot/scale AI tools (e.g., next-best-action, AI coaching, generative AI, predictive analytics), translate capabilities into compliant field applications, and establish ethical/governance guardrails.
- Lead programs (60%): design/prioritize/execute CFC North America roadmap initiatives across learning & development, incentive comp & deployment, CRM, field reporting, and field sales analytics; manage governance, timelines, risks, interdependencies, ROI/business cases, vendor partners, and change/adoption.
- Identify capability gaps via analytics/feedback; drive continuous improvement and present progress/risks/recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in commercial operations, field effectiveness, analytics, or transformation in complex matrix organizations.
- Track record scaling capability transformation and AI/technology adoption.
- Demonstrated success influencing across functions; change management leadership experience.
Required Skills
- Strategic partnership/influencing; future-focused mindset; strong program management for multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication; deep field operations knowledge (CRM, incentive comp, sales analytics, field learning & development).
- Regulated industry compliance orientation; manages vendors/technology partners.
Technical/Tools
- AI applications and sales technology platforms; data analytics tools; familiarity with project/portfolio management tools.
Education
- Bachelorβs degree (business, life sciences, technology) or equivalent; Advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical/life sciences experience; strong network in AI innovation; experience in learning & development/sales ops/commercial analytics.
- Facilitation of design-thinking workshops/innovation sprints/co-creation; proven track record driving adoption by challenging norms.
