Director Field Effectiveness and Capability Enablement (Hybrid: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ)
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic partnership across GTMC, Digital, Commercial Ops, and People & Culture to align on future field capability vision and challenge how field teams work, learn, and engage.
- Broker cross-functional collaboration to identify opportunities, surface unmet needs, and co-create AI-enabled, data-driven solutions for field effectiveness.
- Translate industry trends/competitive intelligence into enablement, learning, and performance-management improvements.
- Champion cultural transformation and adoption of next-generation tools and methodologies.
- Drive AI enablement: pilot/scale AI tools (e.g., next-best-action, AI coaching, generative AI, predictive analytics); design future-readiness initiatives; deploy AI-enhanced analytics with CRM/Field Reporting; establish AI governance/guardrails.
- Lead programs (~60%): design/prioritize/execute CFC NA roadmap initiatives (Field L&D, Incentive Compensation & Deployment, CRM, Field Reporting, Field Sales Analytics); own governance, timelines, risk mitigation; align interdependencies; build business cases/ROI; lead change management for rollouts; manage vendors/partners; coordinate with Global CFC teams.
- Identify capability gaps via data/feedback; drive continuous improvement; present progress/risks/recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in commercial operations, field effectiveness, analytics, or transformation in complex matrix organizations.
- Track record scaling capability transformation and AI/technology adoption.
- Proven influence and partnership across functions/business units.
- Change management experience leading organizational transformation.
Required Skills
- Strategic partnership/influencing; comfort with ambiguity; program management discipline.
- Exceptional communication/storytelling.
- Deep field operations knowledge (CRM, incentive compensation, sales analytics, Field L&D).
- Regulated industry experience with strong compliance orientation.
- Vendor/technology partner management.
Technical Skills
- AI applications and sales technology platforms; data analytics tools; project/portfolio management tools.
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in business, life sciences, technology, or equivalent.
- Advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA/PhD) preferred.

- Experience in learning & development, sales operations, or commercial analytics.
