Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Associate Directors and Sr. Managers to drive field effectiveness strategies and execution with Business Unit leadership.
- Serve as senior leader for field effectiveness solutions/innovation, including:
- Targeting strategy and optimization
- Incentive compensation design
- Subnational performance monitoring and analytics to assess performance drivers
- Account planning strategy and execution
- Field force effectiveness measurement and continuous improvement
- Advise BU and Commercial leaders on field performance, opportunities, and risks.
- Establish and monitor KPIs; identify trends and recommend actions to improve execution and ROI.
- Use data/analytics/field insights to enhance sales force productivity, customer engagement, and resource allocation.
- Partner with Customer Strategy & Execution to translate objectives into field effectiveness solutions.
- Oversee development of customer targeting approaches aligned to brand strategy, segmentation, market dynamics, and deployment priorities.
- Lead incentive compensation strategy with Sales, HR, Finance, and Field Programs & Operations.
- Evolve account planning capabilities (frameworks, tools, processes, expectations).
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Commercial Operations, Analytics, Market Access, Marketing, Finance, HR, and IT.
- Foster continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and talent development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in business, life sciences, analytics, or related field.
- 10+ years in commercial operations/sales operations/field effectiveness/incentive compensation/analytics (biopharma/healthcare).
- 5+ years people leadership experience.
- Experience partnering with senior Business Unit/Commercial leaders.
- Deep expertise in targeting, incentive compensation, account planning, sales force effectiveness, or field operations.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to lead in a cross-functional, matrixed environment; influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
Preferred:
- MBA/MPH or other advanced degree.
- Experience supporting multiple brands/BUs or specialty field teams.
- Knowledge of field effectiveness needs across product lifecycle stages.
- Experience with commercial data, CRM, incentive compensation systems, performance dashboards.
- Understanding of compliance/governance for field execution and incentive design.
