Responsibilities:
- Serve as GSK’s primary liaison to Democrats on relevant Congressional committees (e.g., Senate Finance, House Ways & Means).
- Develop and execute strategies to engage Members of Congress on legislation aligned with GSK’s interests.
- Build and maintain relationships with committee members and staff; monitor hearings, markups, and legislative actions; provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Represent GSK in external forums (trade associations such as PhRMA, industry coalitions, advocacy groups).
- Collaborate with peer organizations and stakeholders to build consensus and advance shared policy goals.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on key legislative developments; prepare briefing materials, talking points, and policy memos.
- Act as a representative for the GSK Employees Political Action Committee (PAC).
- Ensure advocacy complies with applicable lobbying laws and disclosure requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in government agency/Capitol Hill/trade association/corporate government affairs.
- Policy-making experience with House/Senate committees (Senate Finance, House Ways & Means, Senate HELP, House Energy & Commerce).
- Experience co-developing external engagement strategies with internal Business Partners.
- Experience analyzing legislative policies and advising recommended actions.
- Experience influencing coalition/trade association/industry working group engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (JD/MPP/MBA) preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid, pharmaceutical pricing, trade, and/or corporate tax issues.
- Experience advocating before tax-writing and health committees.
- Strong healthcare–policy intersection understanding; excellent communication skills.

Benefits/Compensation (US):
- Annual base salary: $171,000–$285,000; annual bonus; eligibility for share-based long-term incentive; health insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
