Enterprise AI Strategy & Narrative
- Develop and execute an enterprise communications strategy supporting AI vision, priorities, and roadmap.
- Create narratives connecting AI to business outcomes, employee experience, responsible use, and patient impact.
- Own and maintain a consistent internal AI narrative/messaging platform across workstreams, audiences, channels, leadership teams, and internal joint council.
- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Monitor AI developments across healthcare/biopharma/technology to inform internal narrative and communications.

Executive Communications & Thought Leadership
- Advise senior leaders across IT and enterprise functions.
- Develop executive presentations/speeches/talking points and thought leadership content.
- Support AI communications for leadership forums, enterprise meetings, Board discussions, and high-visibility moments.
- Partner with executives to strengthen internal/external visibility around AI innovation and responsible use.

Employee Engagement & Adoption
- Lead engagement strategies to build awareness, understanding, and confidence in AI.
- Design campaigns for AI literacy, adoption, and responsible use.
- Showcase priority use cases, success stories, and measurable impact.
- Partner with HR/IT to support learning, change management, and engagement.

Responsible AI & Governance Communications
- Develop communications for Responsible AI principles, governance frameworks, and enterprise policies.
- Ensure transparent messaging on AI risk management, compliance, oversight, and expectations.
- Partner with Legal/Compliance/Risk to ensure messaging is accurate, aligned, and responsible.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Technology Communications
- Plan and execute communications for multi-function AI initiatives.
- Partner across IT, HR, Development, Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs, and Corporate Communications.
- Align stakeholders on integrated plans, priorities, milestones, and narratives.
- Manage agency/vendor relationships as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s + 12+ years OR Master’s + 1+ year OR PhD + 8+ years in communications/liberal arts/business/science field; relevant experience may include years of healthcare public relations.

Specific Job Responsibilities (Public Affairs)
- Lead PR programming supporting products and pipeline programs.
- Manage PR agency relationships (direction and project management); may manage staff; manage budgets.
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams; provide PR recommendations.
- Develop media relations strategies; serve as media spokesperson; respond to media requests.
- Prepare press releases/presentations with minimal oversight.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Bay Area: $210,375–$272,250. Other US: $191,250–$247,500. Discretionary bonus/long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
