The Director, Corporate Strategy will provide leadership and oversight of the company’s long-range strategy; actively manage Sarepta’s portfolio prioritization process and approval; and lead key corporate initiatives as approved by the Executive Committee.
Strategic Planning
- Lead a cross-functional team to deliver the long-range strategic plan, evaluating current and future portfolio opportunities and corporate capabilities.
- Support R&D strategy to expand indications and enter new disease areas.
- Lead and coordinate strategic off-sites and pipeline annual reviews.
- Align budgets and financial planning to corporate strategy and priorities.
- Drive process/accountabilities for creation of cross-functional deliverables and milestones.
- Modify strategic recommendations based on program status and risk factors.
- Identify gaps/opportunities and work cross-functionally to address them.
- Create and use modeling methodologies to interrogate portfolio and R&D resources for internal platforms/programs and external investment opportunities.
- Work with finance to incorporate the long-range financial plan and investment requirements.
- Maintain competitive landscape tracking and insights.
- Provide risk assessment for timing of data/readouts to support investment decisions.
- Develop and maintain portfolio prioritization and Probability of Success methodology; manage team to generate the prioritization and obtain approval by the RDC and Executive Committee.
Internal Consulting
- Lead key corporate initiatives deemed critical by the Executive Committee (projects vary by type, duration, and scope; sponsored by an Executive Committee member).
Qualifications
- MBA or PhD in a technical discipline.
- 8–10+ years experience leading large-scale programs/projects with proven results and effective leadership.
- Extensive R&D and portfolio strategy experience within pharma and/or healthcare.
- Experience with investment optimization models, asset valuation, and portfolio assessment.
- Strong financial, budget, and resource planning experience.
- Demonstrated success leading through influence.

Additional
- Hybrid role: work on-site at U.S. facilities and/or attend in-person company events from time to time.
- Salary range: $185,600–$232,000 per year.
