About The Role
Insmed is seeking a strategic and analytically driven Director, Competitive Intelligence to join its Commercial Effectiveness team.
What You'll Do
- Manage and evolve CI monitoring, synthesis, and communication of competitive developments for approved products and pipeline programs.
- Collaborate with Insights Leads across therapeutic areas to integrate competitive intelligence with broader market insights and strategic planning.
- Identify key strategic questions and design intelligence frameworks that deliver actionable insights for global program teams.
- Partner with Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Market Access to evaluate competitive threats/opportunities, inform lifecycle management, and support asset prioritization.
- Translate information from scientific publications, conferences, earnings calls, regulatory filings, and primary research into executive-ready competitive narratives.
- Establish KPIs for competitive monitoring and lead deep-dive analyses into market share dynamics and competitive forecasting assumptions.
- Build partnerships with US and regional teams to align competitive insights with commercial priorities.
Who You Are
- Bachelorβs degree and at least 8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience (competitive intelligence, strategic consulting, market research, analytics, or business development), or equivalent combination.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior-level stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex data into compelling executive narratives.
- Strong analytical mindset; hypothesis-driven, disciplined approach.
- Naturally curious; ability to synthesize βwhyβ behind competitive moves into clear stories.
- Comfortable moving between big picture and detail.
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- At least 4 years experience in respiratory, specialty, or rare disease (preferred).
Where You'll Work / Travel
- Fully remote; occasional in-person engagement.
- Occasional travel (~20%).
