Position Overview
The Director, Commercial Strategy will lead varegacestat international commercialization strategy and key commercial planning and business management initiatives, requiring strong business acumen and the ability to execute under uncertainty.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the international commercialization roadmap (market prioritization, business cases, investment requirements, timing, dependencies, risks, decision points).
- Evaluate distributor/partner/market-entry options (set evaluation criteria, coordinate diligence, compare proposals, develop leadership recommendations).
- Partner with Business Development, Legal, Finance, Regulatory, Medical, Supply Chain, Market Access, and Commercial stakeholders to translate partnerships into commercialization plans.
- Manage regional partners and governance (joint business plans, performance reviews, issue escalation, decision tracking, follow-through).
- Monitor international market/partner performance and recommend strategic or resourcing adjustments.
- Lead market localization and readiness plans with Brand, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, Supply Chain, and local partners.
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness workplans for distributor-led markets.
- Own commercial workstreams for selected Leadership/Board deliverables (integrated commercial narrative and decision-ready recommendations).
- Partner with SMEs (Market Insights, Forecasting/Analytics, Brand, Sales, Market Access, Competitive Intelligence, Finance) for accurate executive reporting.
- Partner with Investor Relations to develop investor-ready narratives and materials.
- Lead annual commercial operating planning and budget process; integrate investment/resource plans and lead budget reviews.
- Coordinate annual and long-range commercial planning and recurring business reviews.
- Develop business cases for major commercial investments or operating-model changes.

Qualifications
- BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years in pharma/biotech (equivalent acceptable); oncology experience required.
- Launch experience desirable; global experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 20%+ (including weekends).

Knowledge and Skills
- Lead complex cross-functional work and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience with commercial budgets, business planning, executive decision support, and business-case development (strongly preferred).
- Hands-on, sound judgment, discretion, urgency, and reliable follow-through.

Washington State Pay Range
$213,910 - $246,269 USD
