Role Summary
Director, Business Intelligence responsible for guiding the development and execution of business intelligence initiatives, including competitiveness and benchmarking, to drive data-driven decision-making across Engineering & Property Services at Johnson & Johnson.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the organization's BI roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Define and own a comprehensive benchmarking and competitive intelligence strategy aligned to portfolio goals, asset classes, and growth targets.
- Design and maintain benchmarking models (internal vs. external) across asset classes and geographies.
- Monitor competitor activity, trends, and asset-level performance.
- Create executive dashboards and self-serve analytics focused on portfolio benchmarks, market signals, and competitive performance.
- Translate complex data into clear stories for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Building: Build and mentor a cross-functional team of analysts and BI professionals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee pipelines, dashboards, and analytics while ensuring data quality, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Understand geopolitical and inflationary impacts relative to functional goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Master’s in Data Science preferred.
- Experience and Skills: 10+ years in BI or Data Analytics, including 5+ years in leadership roles (preferably in engineering, facilities, or property management); ability to translate data into actionable insights for executives; entrepreneurial and influential; strong data-driven storytelling; proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), data warehouses, and data management; knowledge of SQL and big data analytics; strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Other: English proficiency; travel up to 30%; preferred: Python, SAP, Maximo, SaaS.
