Role Summary

Director, AI&D Solution Partners - OCMO leads the AI&D partnerships and aligns AI capabilities with the priorities of the OCMO function. You will serve as the primary interface between AI&D, Technology, and the assigned business function, shaping AI strategy, delivering AI-enabled solutions, and driving measurable business outcomes. This role requires deep domain expertise, strong AI/ML proficiency, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration to enable AI capabilities across AI&D.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with business leaders to guide prioritization and investment decisions
  • Partner with broader AI&D and Lab teams (Alliances and Ecosystem, Digital Product Management, Lab Accelerator) to implement and validate AI solutions that solve critical challenges.
  • Fostering cross-functional collaboration across AI&D, Tech, and business units
  • Ensure successful delivery and adoption of AI solutions within the assigned function, driving measurable outcomes and enterprise scalability.
  • Willingness to travel around 20%.

Qualifications

  • Required: Doctorate degree and 4 years of AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science experience
  • Required: Master’s degree and 7 years of AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science experience
  • Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field.
  • Preferred: 10+ years of leadership roles within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
  • Preferred: Deep domain expertise in biopharma Medical, Regulatory, and Safety including direct experience working within these business functions.
  • Preferred: At least 3 years of AI experience within the biopharma OCMO domain.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of experience working at the intersection of AI/ML and business functions, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and manage complex initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Preferred: Ability to prioritize and manage a business domain's technical portfolio of initiatives including defining ROI and NPV
  • Preferred: Direct experience identifying and modeling business architectures, use cases, and performing journey mapping exercises with business stakeholders
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, technologies, and platforms, as well as a solid understanding of data ecosystems.
  • Preferred: Experience partnering with external technology providers and managing alliances to deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data privacy considerations in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
  • Preferred: Strong track record of developing and driving AI strategies that align with organizational goals across functional areas.
  • Preferred: Experience influencing senior leadership and advocating for AI initiatives with non-technical stakeholders.
