Purpose
- Ensure the Procurement organization delivers results in support of JJIM Americas business strategy and objectives.
- Lead operational execution of commercial categories (and other required categories) globally for the JJIM business.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Understand JJIM business needs and partner with categories to devise Procurement strategies.
- Identify industry trends to incorporate into category strategies.
- Direct and manage team members from the North America Agile Team; engage stakeholders to understand local needs, ensure implementation of global category strategies, and oversee sourcing/contracting delivery for specified activities.
- Align Procurement activities with business leaders across Commercial, Finance, Legal, COEs, and Global Services.
- Lead major strategic negotiations for owned categories.
- Ensure new product launches are prioritized by category teams and coordinate across Sales, Marketing, Global Services, and Therapeutic Areas.
- Be Business Engagement Leader for Oncology in North America; partner with senior business leaders to ensure alignment with business strategies.
- Participate in JJIM Americas Commercial Procurement Leadership Team to lead regionally toward business objectives.
- Develop and achieve performance targets for Procurement in areas of responsibility.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or further advanced degree desirable.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years related work experience.
- Strong business insight and ability to view challenges through regional business leaders.
- Influencing skills; strong senior-level leadership and collaboration.
- Strong verbal and written communication for executive audiences.
- Broad understanding of procurement focus areas (spend, category, supplier management).
- Strong project management and organizational change leadership.
- Proven learning agility.
