Ophthalmology Account Director (OAD) - South Central
Responsibilities:
- Represent Regeneron’s ophthalmology product portfolio; serve as liaison between customers and Regeneron.
- Lead customer engagement and contract education/pull-through for GPO/provider contracts; educate and influence provider practices and private equity groups.
- Develop and execute account plans with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Reimbursement, Market Access, Brand).
- Maximize executive engagement, reach, and frequency; identify and educate relevant audiences (C-suite, KOLs, business and reimbursement staff).
- Explain quarterly GPO program changes (if any); deliver contract performance updates and conduct quarterly business reviews.
- Gather and share customer feedback with Market Access and Brand leadership.
- Identify opportunities to engage at regional/national retinal meetings.
- Understand customer healthcare environment (payer mix, inventory levels, operational challenges, reimbursement dynamics).
Typical day focus: MBO-driven, ~75% customer-facing (prioritize in-person meetings when possible).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 10–12 years progressive industry/relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech (or related) experience.
- Ability to travel 50–75% (including weekends as necessary).
Preferred/Valued Skills/Experience:
- Experience launching specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products/indications.
- Proven relationships with executive decision makers (retina, GPOs, institutional trade partners); prior retina account/brand experience.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills; presentation, negotiation, content development.
- Results orientation and strategic planning (event planning/meeting facilitation).
- Understanding of financial concepts/contracting; ability to measure contract performance.
- Outsourced vendor management experience.

Salary Range (annually): $183,100.00 - $305,200.00
