Main Responsibilities:
- Apply design thinking and research across the product lifecycle (discovery/problem framing, ideation, prototyping, delivery).
- Drive a unified, coherent user experience across products and platforms.
- Lead end-to-end product design work: synthesize research, ideate, prototype, and support implementation; ship successful products.
- Conduct and lead discovery-level research (contextual inquiry, stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis) to identify needs and inform strategy.
- Design for complexity by translating scientific workflows/tool ecosystems into intuitive, unified experiences.
- Analyze the end-to-end experience landscape to find patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
- Make principled priority/quality decisions; know when to push forward or hold the line.
- Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and team capacity planning.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps; manage multiple workstreams to on-time delivery.
- Champion human-centered design and embed design/research thinking into decision-making.
- Define and apply user-centered measurement; test and iterate for measurable outcomes.
- Build relationships with customers/end users and surface design opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree (or equivalent) in Design/HCI (Masterโs a plus).
- 7+ years in product design, including leading strategy and shipping.
- Required portfolio showing design process, research integration, and shipped products.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Iterative design sprints; lean/Agile development.
- Human-centered design methods; ability to navigate complex UX/ecosystems.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar).
- Design systems and platform UI guidelines (iOS, Android, LMS, connected platforms).
- Wireframing, IA, sitemaps, user flows, rapid prototypes.
- Web tech knowledge: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Excellent communication and advocacy.
- Research experience (discovery research, usability testing, synthesis). Pharma/health tech familiarity is a plus.
