Role Description:
The Diagnostics Solutions Consultant (DSC) is a field-based, customer-facing sales role responsible for selling Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, and associated products/services in an assigned US sales territory. Accountable for building and maintaining customer relationships to maximize retention, achieving sales quotas, updating sales funnel/customer data, and collaborating with colleagues. Travel within territory up to 60–70%.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain thorough understanding of diagnostic products and service.
- Travel to existing/prospective customers (target: 3–4 existing customers and 3–4 new opportunities per day); extensive driving and periodic overnight travel (approx. 4–8 nights/month).
- Document interactions via online system.
- Transport equipment; lift, set up, and demonstrate diagnostic solutions.
- Explain uses/benefits and communicate value proposition; answer questions.
- Secure purchase orders.
- Provide ongoing customer support (in person/phone/email), courtesy calls, keep clients informed of new products/services (including instrumentation updates), and coordinate with sales/accounting/technical staff.
- Work with Diagnostic Technical Specialists to enhance utilization.
- Generate new business/leads (including competitor accounts, academia/research) and gather referrals.
- Support billing and collection efforts.
- Safely lift and move 60 lbs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Rapid learning; apply technical information; skilled technical sales.
- Expertise in veterinary terminology/science; presentations at all levels (incl. financial).
- Demonstrated capital equipment sales in physician/veterinary clinics.
- Organizational, time management, strategic/tactical balance; multi-tasking and independence.
- Understand market trends/initiatives and competition’s value messaging.
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, auto insurance.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated sales experience, or relevant technical/clinical experience (medical/scientific/healthcare preferred).
- Minimum Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred) with science/business emphasis or equivalent experience.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary: $69,000–$100,000; short-term incentive compensation eligible.
- Benefits include healthcare/insurance starting day one, 401(k) match and profit-sharing, and 4 weeks vacation.
