Cornea Reimbursement Liaison - Chicago, IL

Role: Reimbursement Liaison (Cornea) responsible for ensuring patient access to Glaukos’ sight-saving technologies through expert knowledge of reimbursement policies and provider/patient support. Responsibilities: educate healthcare providers and staff on benefit verification, coding, prior authorization, claim submission, appeals, copay assistance, and navigating payer policies; collaborate with Patient Support Specialists to address access barriers; monitor reimbursement trends and policy changes; manage communications with stakeholders and maintain expertise in payer landscape; identify coverage gaps and ensure compliance with legal/regulatory standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (MBA or MPH preferred); 8+ years in specialty pharma or surgical devices, with minimum 3 years in reimbursement/healthcare policy; experience with specialty pharmacy, buy & bill, CPT/J-codes, and insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, VA/Tri-Care, Commercial. Preferred: eyecare experience, sales or practice management background, strong communication and project management skills. High-Value: specialty medical devices, ophthalmology (cornea), physician-administered injectables, category III CPT/j-codes, buy & bill, Medicare/Medicaid coverage, and complex authorization processes. Work Setup: travel approximately 50%, including overnight; role involves extensive provider engagement and education.
