Copy Supervisor (90% HCP-facing communications)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee copy for assigned brand; collaborate with Editorial, Art, and Account partners to ensure client satisfaction.
- Creative/Hands-on (80%):
- Partner with Art to develop Brave, Authentic, Inspiring ideas and multi-channel tactics.
- Lead writer on print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervision.
- Ensure copy is clear, powerful, error-free, and correctly referenced/annotated.
- Manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve others’ work.
- Contribute to brand message development.
- Participate in client meetings; MLR reviews as needed; attend market research as appropriate.
- Build familiarity with positioning and strategic process; understand client commitments may require extra time/effort.
- Management (10%):
- Manage own workload and direct reports to maximize productivity and maintain billable hours; consider freelance cost implications when delegating.
- Coordinate with Art, Editorial, Traffic, and Project Management to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Seek feedback; provide written and in-person feedback for performance reviews.
- Interview prospective Copy candidates.
- Leadership (10%):
- Maintain client relationships; demonstrate brand/marketing understanding and responsiveness.
- Represent agency at client meetings; present copy to gain buy-in and negotiate changes.
- Train/mentor supervised copywriters.

Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years’ pharmaceutical advertising agency experience.
- BS or BA degree.
- Proven creative ability/judgment; successful client contact experience; collaboration with Art and Account; strong presentation skills; interest in science/healthcare; understanding of MLR review processes; strong copywriting skills in all media.
- Plus (not required): neuroscience, human anatomy, physician-administered treatment.
