This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Geography: Worcester, Cambridge, & Waltham, MA; Manchester and Concord, NH.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial/marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans with SMART objectives; conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve.
- Handle objections and close sales calls by gaining logical, reasonable calls to action.
- Serve customer needs/expectations and build trusted customer relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage/frequency.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease, and product/clinical/sales expertise; share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify and develop disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- Required (in lieu of degree): 5+ years experience (3+ years in pharma/health/science industry preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven sales success and strong presentation skills; adapt selling approach based on customer behavior.
- Influences others; credible, respected role model; collaborative partnership; leads by example.
- Documented leadership/success with increased responsibility; understands/leverage findings to develop strategies.
- Preferred: sales performance in therapeutic areas; commercial pharma experience (physician/account-based selling, managed care, or marketing); English proficiency (verbal/written).
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain facility entry (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, state/city licenses as applicable).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of tools; strategic/critical thinking; effective in matrix environment.
- Drive personal or company vehicle/equipment; valid driverโs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
