Role Summary
Senior Manager, 340B Operations within US Value and Access (US V&A). Accountable for driving 340B program execution with a strong focus on operational excellence, compliance, and data-driven insights. Partners closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Value Access & Insights, and the Commercial Execution Team (including Payer, Chargebacks Operations, and Membership and Government Pricing) as well as external stakeholders and third-party administrators to ensure effective and compliant operations. Manages staff dedicated to the 340B program and guides the team through evolving regulatory landscapes to support Amgen’s success in the Commercial Healthcare Market.
Responsibilities
- Develop spreadsheet models for moderately complex financial analyses, deliver formal presentations, lead special projects, participate in rebate contract development and review
- Provide innovative solutions with a broader, more complex, and evolving 340B landscape
- Document processes to support the maintenance of the 340B program and provide leadership with impact analysis summarizing resourcing needs and timing of key activities
- Provide recommendations for application enhancements or the use of other tools to improve processes and reporting
- Develop and maintain controls related to Amgen’s SOX requirements and other reporting and certification requirements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with Model N business users, Legal, DTI, Coverage and Pricing, Accounting/Finance, Compliance, and other cross-functional groups, external partners, and suppliers to successfully manage team deliverables
- Prepare and present regular updates on 340B activities to senior leadership
- Work with external vendors to define capabilities required for 340B data collection, processing, reporting and integration with Amgen systems
- Actively pursue continuing education to understand current and proposed legislation, rules and regulatory developments related to 340B and communicates the associated impact to the Contracts and Pricing Execution team
- Design comprehensive solutions to anticipate and address partner needs based on organizational strategy and vision
Qualifications
- Required: Doctorate degree and 2 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
- Required: Master’s degree and 4 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
- Required: Associate’s degree and 10 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
- Required: High school diploma / GED and 12 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
- Preferred: Experienced knowledge of the 340B and/or broader Government programs landscape
- Preferred: Payer experience and/or pharma/biotech experience with an emphasis in commercial operations
- Preferred: Executive-level communication skills, including building and delivering senior-leadership presentations and translating complex data/processes into clear, concise summaries across multiple systems
- Preferred: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving: synthesizes information, navigates ambiguity, and enables actionable business analysis
- Preferred: Supervisory/people-management experience and demonstrated growth in responsibility and leadership
