Primary Responsibilities
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of contracts
- Ensures contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and business objectives
- Maintains a centralized contract repository; ensures contracts are properly filed, tracked, and accessible; monitors deadlines and renewals; supports contract execution
- Identifies and mitigates potential risks in contract terms and conditions in partnership with Contracts leadership
- Partners with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, IT, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Medical Affairs) to understand contract needs and provide support
- Assists with developing and updating contract templates, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk
- Assists in training and educating employees on contract-related processes and best practices
- Prepares reports on contract status and key metrics (as needed)
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field preferred; paralegal certification or equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 5 years of contract management experience (biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting preferred)
- Experience with Conga Contracts (preferred)
- Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or equivalent certification (strongly preferred)
