Role Summary:
Work in the assigned territory to understand and identify needs of veterinary clinics, shelter facilities, and corporate accounts. Sell Animal Health (AH) division companion animal products, support customer pull-through activities, and promote value/technical innovations aligned to โThe Science of Healthier Animals.โ Partner with Animal Health resources and Distribution Partners.
Essential Accountabilities:
- Communicate and tailor product discussions to each customerโs needs.
- Serve as primary point of contact; meet decision makers to understand practice structure and identify opportunities.
- Develop customer and territory account strategies and plans; drive sales growth via partner involvement.
- Partner with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners.
- Collaborate across species teams; share best practices regionally.
- Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget.
- Identify and select programs/services for education and training; develop/deliver relevant offerings with leadership.
- Stay current on Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitors; communicate trends internally.
- Develop and meet learning and development objectives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma + 10+ years sales (or equivalent) OR Bachelorโs + 5+ years sales.
Required Skills:
- Strong interpersonal/communication/presentation; results-driven.
- Collaborative, adaptable; ability to independently assess evolving customer needs.
- Apply selling techniques; manage multiple accounts.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; iPad use; independent + team work.
- Travel overnight and some weekends.
Preferred Skills:
- Animal Health industry/sales experience; knowledge of animal health biological/pharmaceuticals.
- Distribution experience; multilingual (Spanish).
Territory: Cedar Park, Leander, Marble Falls, Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Dripping Springs, parts of Round Rock (reside in territory strongly preferred; up to 20 miles from border).
Compensation/Benefits & Apply:
