Senior Territory Representatives interact face to face with customers, understand needs, and consult to offer the right solutions. This role works in a defined territory to identify veterinary clinic, shelter facility, and corporate account needs by selling the Animal Health (AH) division’s Companion Animal product portfolio, supporting pull-through activities, and delivering value/technical innovations aligned to “The Science of Healthier Animals.”
Essential Accountabilities:
- Communicate product portfolio in a customer-relevant way; customize discussions based on customer needs.
- Primary point of contact; meet decision makers to understand practice structure, key influencers, customer needs, and business opportunities.
- Develop customer strategy and account plans to drive sales growth of Animal Health products/services.
- Analyze monthly sales results and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
- Identify/select programs/services to provide education & training; work with leadership and Field Professional Services to deliver offerings.
- Develop understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape; communicate trends internally.
- Develop and meet learning and development objectives.
Territory: parts of Austin, TX including Cedar Park, Leander, Marble Falls, Wimberly, Canyon Lake, Dripping Springs, and parts of Round Rock (preferred to reside in territory; up to 20 miles from border).
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma + 10+ years sales (or equivalent), OR Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years sales.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal/communication/presentation skills; measurable results focus.
- Collaboration; ability to independently understand evolving customer needs.
- Apply selling techniques managing multiple accounts; proficient with Word/Excel/PowerPoint and iPad.
- Ability to work independently and on a team; travel overnight and some weekends.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Animal Health industry and/or sales experience; knowledge of animal health biological/pharmaceutical products.
- Experience with Distribution; multilingual (Spanish preferred).
