Role Summary
Co-op, IT Strategic Sourcing — 6-month student role (January–June 2026). Based in the IT Sourcing Team, you will contribute to maximizing value from technology acquisitions across Biogen’s IT functions, including Infrastructure, R&D, Commercial, and Pharmaceutical Operations. You will support supplier relationship management, contract review and negotiation, and the development of product and category strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide research, analysis, and operational support to Senior Sourcing Managers for alignment with IT leadership and advancing strategic relationships.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and organizing customer and vendor agreements (SaaS, software licensing, NDAs, professional services contracts) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate due diligence and approval processes with Finance, Legal, and Security to ensure thorough and timely completion.
- Conduct market-intelligence activities to stay informed on industry trends and supplier capabilities.
- Perform research and analysis on industry, supply markets, and supply chains to support sourcing strategies and decision-making.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and document key actions, decisions, and follow-ups.
- Aid in managing outside vendors and tracking deliverables.
Qualifications
- Required: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; at least 18 years old prior to start; enrolled in an accredited college, university, or apprenticeship program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s student majoring in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear documentation.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new tools.

Education
- Bachelor’s student majoring in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field.
