Clinical Sales Specialist - Washington, DC

Position Summary:
- Responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, clinics, and other health-related organizations within an assigned territory (Washington, DC).
- Provide healthcare professionals with current information about Indivior products and approved indications to ensure appropriate use and achieve the territory’s business potential.
- Ensure accomplishments comply with the Company Policy and Procedure Manual.
Essential Functions:
- Achieve established territory goals (sales, market share, doctor calls, program planning, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze territory results; maintain an up-to-date business plan to evaluate sales effectiveness.
- Ensure required documentation and reports are timely and accurate.
- Demonstrate strong clinical understanding of products and related disease states.
- Communicate product information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Plan and organize daily sales call activities to optimize time and maximize sales objectives.
- Persist to accomplish objectives despite disappointments or rejection.
- Create and maintain positive customer impressions; project a professional business image.
- Maintain timely communication with the Area Sales Manager and sales leadership team.
- Perform field work with Area Sales Manager and other Indivior personnel.
- Maintain company-provided equipment in good operating condition.
- Attend sales training meetings (overnight, as required).
- Recognize work environment changes and implement alternate plans.
- Represent at national and/or local conferences (if applicable).
- Complete special projects and assignments from Sales Leadership.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree required.
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience with a proven track record of success.
- Injectable experience preferred.
- Preferred: experience selling complex specialty pharmacy/buy and bill products.
- Preferred: experience selling a drug/device/technology requiring a change in physician protocol.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer focus; teamwork/collaboration.
- Computer proficient.
