About The Role
The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) drives physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness for Cortrophin Gel in the assigned territory (including Tucson, AZ and surrounding area). Maintains knowledge of targeted disease states and product labeling; achieves territory sales targets and business objectives. Provides disease-state education, coordinates cross-functional stakeholders and reimbursement/medical support teams to ensure patient access; cold calling on all targeted specialties is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive demand through clinical selling and education for Cortrophin Gel to referring and treating HCPs.
- Build and execute territory strategy and account plans to grow physician/patient identification, market development, and brand awareness in Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Neurology; continuously assess opportunities.
- Manage resources/time to optimize account access and development.
- Create account plans for key accounts/physicians; plan approaches to maximize sales.
- Build and maintain physician relationships via pre-call planning, customized call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate with Cortrophin brand team and internal functions (e.g., MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB) to support access and logistics.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians; develop strategies to retain customers.
- Demonstrate integrity and compliance; other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies (Preferred/Plus)
- Product launch experience; working knowledge of government/commercial payers.
- In-house patient support services experience.
- Familiarity with legal/regulatory pharmaceutical requirements.
- Patient services and specialty channel distribution understanding (preferred).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree in business/science preferred.
- Minimum 5 yearsโ success in rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Rheumatology, Nephrology, Neurology experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed (in-person/virtual).
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory.
- Driverโs license required; 40โ60% overnight travel.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Base salary: $160,000โ$200,000; eligible for short- and long-term incentive programs.
