About the Role
The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) will drive physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness for Cortrophin Gel in the assigned territory (Huntsville, AL/Memphis, TN and surrounding areas).
Responsibilities
- Drive demand through clinical selling and education to referring and treating HCPs on Cortrophin Gel.
- Build and execute territory strategy and account-specific plans to drive physician/patient identification, market development, and brand awareness (Rheumatology, Nephrology, Neurology); continuously assess sales opportunities.
- Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time to optimize access to accounts with highest sales potential.
- Develop account plans for key accounts/physicians to maximize sales results.
- Build/maintain physician relationships using pre-call planning, insight-driven call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate with Cortrophin brand team and internal stakeholders (e.g., MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB) to ensure patient access and logistics.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians to drive patient identification via market development and physician education; retain customers via territory strategy.
- Demonstrate integrity and compliance; other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies (Preferred/Plus)
- Product launch experience (plus); knowledge of government/commercial payers.
- Experience with in-house patient support services (required).
- Familiarity with relevant legal/regulatory pharmaceutical requirements.
- Experience with territory-level business planning.
- Understanding of patient services and specialty channel distribution (preferred).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree in business or science preferred.
- 5+ yearsโ success in rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Experience in Rheumatology/Nephrology/Neurology strongly preferred.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed (in person/virtual).
- Ability to manage multi-state territory; driverโs license required.
- Overnight travel 40%โ60% (depending on geography).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Base salary range: $160,000โ$200,000; eligible for short-term and long-term incentive programs.
