About The Role
The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) drives physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness for Cortrophin Gel in the assigned territory (Boston South and surrounding areas in MA and RI). Maintain expertise in targeted disease states/product labeling, achieve territory sales targets, and coordinate with internal reimbursement/medical support teams and other stakeholders. Cold calling on targeted specialties is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive demand via clinical selling and education to referring and treating HCPs.
- Build and execute territory strategy/account plans to grow physician and patient identification, market development, and brand awareness (Rheumatology, Nephrology, Neurology); continually assess opportunities.
- Prioritize/manage resources to develop high-potential accounts.
- Create account plans for key accounts and physicians.
- Build physician relationships using pre-call planning, tailored call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate internally (Cortrophin brand team, MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB) to ensure patient access and logistics.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians to drive patient identification and retain customers.
- Maintain integrity and compliance; other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies
- Product launch experience (plus): knowledge of government/commercial payers.
- Experience with in-house patient support services.
- Familiarity with legal/regulatory pharma requirements.
- Territory-level business planning experience.
- Patient services and specialty channel distribution (preferred).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree in business/science preferred.
- 5+ years successful rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Rheumatology/Nephrology/Neurology experience strongly preferred.
- Work evenings/weekends as needed (in-person/virtual).
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory.
- Driverβs license; overnight travel 40β60%.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
Base salary: $160,000β$200,000; eligible for short-term and long-term incentive. Benefits include health insurance, life/disability, retirement savings, paid leave/holidays, and paid time off (many subsidized or fully paid).
