*Field-based. Candidates should live within the territory (Tampa, Sarasota, Cape Coral, and surrounding areas).*
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is the strategic leader of their territory. They combine clinical expertise, strategic account planning, business acumen, and execution to improve patient outcomes and support brand and business goals.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions.
- Complete required AbbVie training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills; ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Persistency and grit with a strong track record.
- Driving a personal auto or company vehicle; valid driverβs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Regular business travel (air or car).
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (preferably hematologic malignancies).
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Account management experience.
- Specialty pharmacy and healthcare/patient or consulting experience.
- People management/leadership experience; MBA or other advanced degree.
