Role Overview (Field-Based)
- Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas.
- Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is the strategic leader of their territory, combining clinical expertise, strategic account planning, business acumen, and execution to improve patient outcomes and support CLL and NHL Oncology Products.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof).
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills; ability to work in a highly collaborative, team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Persistency and grit with a strong track record.
- Personal or company vehicle; valid driverโs license (pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements).
- Regular business travel by air or car.
Preferred
- Oncology experience, preferably hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorโs degree.
- Account Management experience.
- Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Healthcare industry experience (patients or consulting healthcare companies).
- People management/leadership experience.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
