Job Description – Clinical Account Executive, Oncology – Miami, FL
Field-based; candidates should live within the territory (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, FL, and surrounding areas).
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in all customer interactions.
- Complete AbbVie required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements to gain entry to assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications
Job requirements:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team orientation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Driving a personal auto or company car/truck; valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Business travel regularly required.
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (preferably hematologic malignancies).
- Bachelor’s degree; Account Management experience.
- Specialty Pharmacy and healthcare industry experience.
- People management/leadership experience; MBA/advanced degree.
