Job Description β Clinical Account Executive, Oncology β Detroit, MI
Field-based; candidates should live within the territory (Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, MI and surrounding areas). Reporting to the Senior District Manager.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
Qualifications:
Job requirements:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills.
- Strong collaboration in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Driving a personal auto or company car/truck; valid driverβs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Business travel (air or car) regularly required.
Preferred:
- Oncology experience, preferably in hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Account Management experience; Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Healthcare industry experience.
- People management/leadership experience; MBA or other advanced degree.
