Field-based; candidates should live within the territory (Chicago South and surrounding areas). Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is a strategic leader for their territory, combining clinical expertise, account planning, and execution to improve patient outcomes and support CLL and NHL Oncology Products.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Deliver disciplined, accountable sales execution (preference for Oncology/Hematology experience).
- Think strategically about customers, key accounts, and market dynamics; prioritize opportunities.
- Translate strategy into focused action; balance urgency with discipline.
- Rapidly learn complex scientific/clinical/business concepts and apply them in customer settings.
- Communicate clearly by simplifying complex clinical/business concepts.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific/clinical expertise; provide compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner cross-functionally for coordinated customer experiences.
- Use data/insights/analytics to optimize territory performance.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism; complete required training and adhere to company policies/OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (e.g., background checks, drug screens, immunization proof).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills; excellent organizational/analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team orientation; persistence/grit.
- Driving requirement: own personal auto or company vehicle; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening; safe driving.
- Regular business travel.
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (hematologic malignancies preferred); Bachelorโs degree; account management; specialty pharmacy; healthcare/patient or consulting experience; people management/leadership; MBA/advanced degree.
