This role is field-based; candidates should live within the territory (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Binghamton, and surrounding areas).
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) serves as the strategic leader for the territory, improving patient outcomes and advancing brand objectives for CLL and NHL Oncology Products.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and immunization/vaccination proof).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics.
- Competitive selling skills; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Driving a personal auto or company vehicle; valid driverโs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Business travel required (air or car).
Preferred:
- Oncology experience, preferably hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorโs degree; account management experience.
- Specialty Pharmacy experience; healthcare experience (patients or consulting).
- People management/leadership experience; MBA or other advanced degree.
