Territory: Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Birmingham, Jamestown, Ithaca areas (ideal in Rochester or Buffalo, NY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with oncology departments/practices; engage Oncologists, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Nurses, executives, and support staff.
- Increase education on approved product benefits/risks, develop new business, improve resource utilization, and achieve sales plan to grow sales/market share for assigned oncology product/indications.
- Deliver effective on-label technical/scientific presentations using approved data to drive quota achievement.
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact; coordinate with internal/co-promotion partners (Brand/Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, SPPs) for physician support, including site support and issue resolution.
- Create and update strategic/tactical account business plans; facilitate site physician/treatment team training; monitor/report sales progress.
- Serve as key account contact; respond/direct inquiries and coordinate needed support.
- Participate in clinician boards/societies/HCP meetings; represent AbbVie and assigned products; ensure on-label communications.
- Stay current on clinical, market, and payer developments in oncology; complete required training and follow all company policies.
Qualifications:
- Business savvy; analytical ability to define account/program strategies.
- Ability to meet complex customer needs with innovative, forward-thinking strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership (leading without direct authority).
- Excellent communication/presentation skills.
- Persistency/grit.
- Ability to drive (personal/company vehicle or powered equipment); valid driverโs license and pass pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred:
- Oncology sales or oncology clinical experience.
- Bachelorโs degree.
- Account management; Specialty Pharmacy; healthcare industry experience.
- MBA/advanced degree.
