Purpose
- Territory: Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Southern Massachusetts. Candidates must be located within the territory.
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with Oncology departments and practices; drive on-label education, new business, improved resource utilization, and sales/market share by achieving sales plan for assigned Oncology products/indications.
Responsibilities
- Understand and address customer needs; build relationships that provide market intelligence and support compliant programs.
- Partner with in-house/cross-franchise leaders to identify and execute tactics within the geography.
- Deliver effective on-label technical/scientific presentations using approved data to achieve sales quota.
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts; collaborate with internal and co-promotion counterparts (Brand/Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, contracted SPPs) to support physicians, including site support.
- Build and regularly update strategic/tactical account plans; facilitate site training on approved/safe use; monitor/report sales progress; provide routine communications.
- Act as key point of contact for accounts; direct/respond to requests and coordinate timely support.
- Attend local clinician boards/societies/HCP meetings as appropriate; represent AbbVie and channel key label-compliant information internally.
- Stay current on clinical, market, and payer developments in oncology.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Optimize tools/data to identify opportunities; maintain understanding of approved label and disease state.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business or relevant equivalent experience.
- Oncology sales or Oncology clinical experience.
- Analytical ability to define account/program strategies; business savvy.
- Leadership without direct authority; ability to lead/enable teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; persistency/grit.
- Preferred: account management experience; specialty pharmacy; healthcare/patient or consulting experience.
- Ability to drive (personal or company vehicle/material handling equipment); valid driverโs license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements (e.g., background/drug screens, immunization proof).
