This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city (covers most of Delaware including Wilmington, New Castle, Seaford, Dover, Vineland, Salisbury, Ocean City, Cape Charles, and surrounding areas).
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is the strategic leader of their territory, combining clinical expertise, strategic account planning, and business acumen to improve patient outcomes and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise with compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues for coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain high standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism; complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Driving a personal auto or company car/truck; valid driverโs license.
- Business travel (air or car) regularly required.
Preferred:
- Multiple Myeloma/hematologic malignancies experience; Bachelorโs degree.
- Account management, specialty pharmacy, healthcare experience (patients/consulting), people management/leadership.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
