Job Description β Clinical Account Executive, Multiple Myeloma - Los Angeles West, CA
Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Los Angeles West, including Los Angeles, Norwalk, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica, CA and surrounding areas.
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) serves as the strategic leader of their territory, combining clinical expertise, account planning, and business acumen to improve patient outcomes and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives and business goals.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific/clinical expertise in compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions.
- Complete required training and maintain adherence to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and immunization/vaccination proof).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma.
- Competitive selling skills; strong collaboration.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Persistency/grit; driving a personal or company vehicle.
- Valid driverβs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Regular business travel required.
Preferred:
- Experience in Multiple Myeloma or hematologic malignancies; Bachelorβs degree.
- Account management experience; Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Healthcare experience (patients/consulting); people management/leadership.
- MBA or other advanced degree.
