Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is a strategic leader for their territory, combining clinical expertise, account planning, and business acumen to improve outcomes for patients (including Multiple Myeloma brand objectives).
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific/clinical expertise.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in all customer interactions.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Driving personal/company vehicle; valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Regular business travel (air or car).
Preferred:
- Experience in Multiple Myeloma/hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorโs degree.
- Account management, specialty pharmacy, healthcare/patient-facing or consulting experience.
- People management/leadership experience; MBA or advanced degree.
