This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Detroit, MI and surrounding areas.
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) serves as the strategic leader of their territory to improve patient outcomes and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise while delivering compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
- Complete AbbVie required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications (Required):
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive (personal auto or company vehicle) and hold a valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Business travel regularly required (air or car).
Preferred:
- Experience in Multiple Myeloma or hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorโs degree; Account Management experience; Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Healthcare experience (patients or consulting); people management/leadership; MBA or other advanced degree.
