Clinical Account Executive (CAE) β Field-based (Columbus, OH and surrounding areas)
Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the CAE serves as the strategic leader of their territory, combining clinical expertise, strategic account planning, and business acumen to improve patient outcomes and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Demonstrate deep scientific and clinical expertise with compliant, customer-focused engagements.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Continuously evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution.
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
- Complete required training and maintain adherence to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities.
- Meet health care industry representative credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required; preferably Multiple Myeloma.
- Competitive selling skills; collaborative team mindset.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle; valid driverβs license and pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Regular business travel required.
Preferred:
- Experience in Multiple Myeloma or hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorβs degree; Account Management experience; Specialty Pharmacy; healthcare/patient or consulting experience; people management/leadership; MBA or advanced degree.
