Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Clinical Account Executive (CAE) is the strategic leader of their territory to improve patient outcomes and advance Multiple Myeloma brand objectives.
Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs.
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific/clinical expertise.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver coordinated customer experiences.
- Use data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize territory performance.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and professionalism.
- Complete required AbbVie training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements (may include background checks, drug screens, and immunization/vaccination proof).
Qualifications
- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech.
- Oncology/hematology experience required (preferably Multiple Myeloma).
- Competitive selling skills; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively; persistency and grit.
- Driving: personal or company vehicle; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening; safe driving requirements.
- Regular business travel (air or car).
Preferred
- Experience in Multiple Myeloma/hematologic malignancies.
- Bachelorโs degree; Account Management; Specialty Pharmacy; healthcare experience.
- People management/leadership experience; MBA/advanced degree.
