Operations
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and analysis of incoming materials, intermediates, finished products, swab samples, and other samples to support commercial and development activities.
- Prepare, maintain, and review thorough records and documentation (solutions, sample preparation, investigational/experimental samples).
- Support laboratory investigations into Out of Specification/Out of Trend results or other laboratory events.
- Perform revisions to documentation (SOPs, test methods, specifications).
- Coordinate and send materials for contract laboratory testing.
- Ensure compliance with DEA and site requirements for handling, use, and disposal of controlled substances.
- Perform verification of compendial methods.
- Provide training to other analysts on activities where they have developed expertise.
- Perform peer review on documents.
- Assist with stability program activities (sampling and statistical analyses).
- Assist with sampling of incoming materials as needed.
- Maintain work areas and perform job functions safely and efficiently in accordance with policies/procedures, cGMP, SOPs, and batch record instructions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably Chemistry or Microbiology).
- At least 2 years of experience in a quality-controlled laboratory environment.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, DEA, and applicable regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical production and quality systems.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (Preferred):
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, LMS), ERP (SAP/Oracle), and manufacturing/quality systems (LIMS, Trackwise, Qdocs).
- Technical writing skills; ability to document processes and explain scientific/technical ideas in writing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with coworkers, management, and stakeholders.
- Self-directed; ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Detail oriented; ability to identify errors/inconsistencies.

Problem Solving:
- Solve moderate-scope problems requiring analysis of situation/data; exercise judgment to select methods/techniques for solutions.
- Independently and proactively recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution.
