General Summary:
- The Center Account Manager (CAM) will achieve and maximize territory sales goals by developing a strategic business plan, communicating disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers (HCPs), and utilizing effective selling strategies.
- Works cross-functionally with Sales/Marketing and compliantly across the organization (Managed Markets, Specialty Pharmacy, Patient Services, Medical, HR, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote safe and effective use of Vertex products per label and company training/policies.
- Provide relevant disease state and on-label product information.
- Interact with Cystic Fibrosis stakeholders in assigned geography.
- Manage territory-level performance and contribute to area/national performance.
- Allocate resources appropriately and target customer needs with a compliance focus.
- Stay current on Cystic Fibrosis environment: disease, key accounts, reimbursement, and care barriers.
- Manage tactical business plan, including promotional activities, budget, and travel expenses.
- Collaborate across functions to achieve goals; attend meetings and take on projects as requested.
- Exercise sound judgment; adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Valid driverโ€™s license (in good standing); travel up to 50% (evenings/weekends as needed).
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/products; consultative/clinical sales approach.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Initiative, strong work ethic; cross-functional teamwork; continuous learning.
- Demonstrates CAM core competencies: Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships.
- Mastery of CF disease/clinical data; sales competencies; CF Center business and payer landscape.
- Business integrity, ethical behavior, and Vertex Values; documented sales success.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree.
- Typically 5 years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in Cystic Fibrosis, rare disease, or other biotech/specialty markets (or equivalent combination).

Pay/Benefits (if applicable to job):
- $122,400 - $183,600 base pay range.
- Eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
