The Center Account Manager (CAM) will be responsible for achieving and maximizing territory sales goals by developing a strategic business plan, communicating thorough disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers (HCPs), and utilizing effective selling strategies. This role understands market dynamics in a rare, complex disease state and works cross-functionally with sales/marketing and across the organization (Managed Markets, Specialty Pharmacy, Patient Services, Medical, HR, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote safe and effective use of Vertex products per label, training, and policies
- Provide relevant disease state and on-label product information
- Interact with Cystic Fibrosis stakeholders in assigned geography
- Own territory performance and contribute to area/national goals
- Ensure targeted, compliant resource allocation to meet customer needs
- Stay current on Cystic Fibrosis environment (disease, key accounts, reimbursement, barriers to care)
- Manage tactical business plan (promotional activities, budget, travel)
- Collaborate across functional areas to meet goals
- Attend meetings and take on projects as requested
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines
Knowledge and Skills:
- Valid driverโs license (in good standing)
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including evenings/weekends
- Ability to understand and communicate complex clinical disease/products

Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree
- Typically 5 years field sales experience in Pharmaceutical Industry; experience in Cystic Fibrosis/rare disease/biotech/specialty markets (or equivalent)
