Key Responsibilities:
- Navigate and resolve account challenges with tailored solutions.
- Build and execute a strategic territory plan aligned to shared priorities to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes.
- Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to deliver access support.
- Use market/competitive knowledge and cross-functional insights to anticipate opportunities and respond with agility.
- Use territory data and market trends to generate local insights and lead impactful customer engagements (virtual or in person).
- Facilitate stakeholder planning sessions to solve complex problems across functions.
- Provide real-time access support in partnership with Patient Specialty Services (PSS).
- Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach across virtual and face-to-face settings.
Major Accountabilities:
- Identify high-potential customers using data; influence prescription decisions.
- Drive value-based, in-person and virtual conversations; personalize engagement journeys for HCPs.
- Build relationships with opinion leaders and medical influencers; challenge behaviors to improve the patient journey.
- Develop and act on customer insights; follow up on feedback and translate into actions.
- Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional teams to address unmet patient/customer needs.
- Report technical complaints/adverse events/special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- Experience within last 5 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare or similarly complex sales; strong account/key customer selling (Associate level: limited sales experience encouraged).
- Proven high performance selling to large accounts; analytic problem-solving; ethical leadership/compliance.
- Reside in territory or within 50 miles of territory border; travel 60β80%; valid driverβs license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups/disease states, account strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling.
