About The Role
Territory Account Specialist (TAS)
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve account challenges with effective, tailored solutions.
- Build and execute a strategic territory plan aligned to shared priorities to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes.
- Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to deliver access support.
- Use market/competitive knowledge and territory data to anticipate opportunities, adjust plans, and lead customer engagements (virtual or in person).
- Facilitate stakeholder planning sessions to address complex needs with urgency.
- Provide real-time access support in partnership with Patient Specialty Services (PSS).
- Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach and engage customers.
- Engage in value-based, in-person and virtual conversations; personalize engagement journeys for target HCPs.
- Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for unmet patient needs.
- Report technical complaints/adverse events/special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours (upon receipt).
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- Experience within the last 5 years in pharma/biotech/healthcare or similarly structured complex sales environments with large, geographically dispersed sales teams; Associate level: limited prior sales experience acceptable.
- Demonstrated record of high performance selling to large accounts/key customers.
- Analytical, self-starter; strong ethical leadership and compliance mindset.
- Reside within the territory (or within 50 miles of the border); travel 60β80%; valid driverβs license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic areas/disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or HCP medical calling.
