The Position
- Experienced cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Medical Affairs (field-based); candidate must be located within one of the territories.
Responsibilities
- Engage cardiologists/endocrinologists/healthcare professionals/stakeholders to educate on clinical and scientific evidence.
- Educate on RNAi technology and cardiometabolic conditions including hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, and hypercholesterolemia.
- Synthesize and communicate clinical/scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
- Attend and present at scientific congresses/meetings.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries per MSL compliance standards.
- Support company-sponsored clinical trials via investigator site engagement.
- Support speaker training and ensure speakers are up to date with evolving data.
- Support national/regional/local congresses, including Opinion Leader engagement.
- Monitor/analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and competitive landscape.
- Maintain clinical/scientific expertise and industry business acumen.
- Act in accordance with company policies.
- Develop territory-specific Opinion Leader (OL) and account plans (OL profiles, pre-call, follow-up).
- Communicate clinical/scientific information accurately and clearly.
- Document MSL quantitative and qualitative accomplishments.
- Provide scientific support for Med Info inquiries.
- Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
- Support Medical Affairs special projects as needed.
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO degree required.
- 5 years of experience as an MSL.
- Cardiometabolic therapeutic experience.
- Industry Medical Affairs experience at a biotech or pharma.
- High-level verbal/written communication; ability to collaborate.
- Strong comprehension of cardiometabolic therapeutic area; interpret data and translate to educational/research needs.
- Ability to identify unmet local/regional medical, educational, and research needs.
- Understanding of healthcare delivery system (managed care impact), research study design/execution, and strategic implications.
- Proven results orientation; ability to thrive amid ambiguity.
- Strong project/time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel.
Pay Range: $190,000 USD - $210,000 USD
