Role Summary

Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I - P London Kentucky. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively sell and promote Novo Nordisk's portfolio to healthcare professionals and office staff.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact
  • Demonstrates understanding of local payer market and its impact on customer decisions
  • Understands territory customer groups and affiliations to identify opportunities and tailor approach
  • Analyze bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status, as applicable
  • May analyze impact of managed care and modify sales/promotion strategies
  • Develops relationships with specialists, hospital decision-makers, and other influencers
  • Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and accounts business practices
  • Develops and executes territory business plans based on market conditions and patient needs
  • Gains access and builds relationships with prescribers, staff, pharmacies, and clinics to drive business impact
  • Maintains professionalism and customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborates across functions to share knowledge and opportunities
  • Implements Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders to implement plans and define roles
  • Manages samples and company property; oversees discretionary budget to support sales goals
  • Understands disease states and treatment options; communicates product and disease management information
  • Participates in sales and marketing meetings and trainings

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required
  • Minimum one year of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare, sales, consulting, customer service, or military preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
  • Solid understanding of current therapy areas (diabetes and obesity) and knowledge of Novo Nordisk products

Physical Requirements

  • Driver must maintain a valid driverโ€šร„รดs license
